Below you'll find a large array of Domestic Hardwood Floors Manufactured right here in Wisconsin! Hard Maple, Hickory, American Cherry, White Ash, Red Oak, White Oak, & Steamed Black Walnut. All fully customizable in their raw form, Woodstock can install and finish these floors in your home with your choice of Stain, Texture (True Amish Handscrape or Circle Sawn), and Pattern!
Hard Maple
This product is the highest standard grade you will find in Northern Hard Maple. Often used in applications where color uniformity, natural imperfection free, and durability is demanded. You will find this product in high-end homes, museums, and hotel lobbies.
This Product will allow the color variation that 1st Grade does not allow. Most have noticed that Woodstock's 2nd and Better Maple has been graded a notch above the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association. You should expect to see color variation from dark brown heartwood to very light sapwood, mineral streaks and tight sound pin knots.
From coffee brown heartwood to snow white sapwood, 3rd grade maple will show you a full spectrum of colors found within the maple tree. Woodstock's 3rd grade maple will impress you with lengths, color variation, small but sound knots, and a kiss of mother natures mineral streaks.
This product has been sought after for its deep rich caramel color, which is made up of as close to 100% heartwood as possible. Due to this strict specification, this product is by an accumulation basis only.
The maple tree contains heartwood and sapwood, with the heart being a very dark brown to grey and the sapwood being very light or blond. This product contains a consistent heartwood that will not exceed 15% sapwood. Our Century Character Maple offers a more rustic heartwood.
Hickory
In the past, hickory has been the wood of choice for people looking for a durable and strong wood. With Woodstock's Vintage Hickory, you will see every aspect of the hickory log from beautiful color variation to the tight sound knots that give it the rustic/vintage appearance. Woodstock's Vintage grade allows for longer lengths that are not typically present in rustic grades.
This grade allows for the beautiful brown heartwood to creamy white sapwood; some of the boards will consist of a combination of the two. This grade does not allow the natural imperfections you would see in the Vintage grade, but has a spectacular look as a floor, cabinet or furniture.
Walnut
American Cherry
Cherry has been used in furniture for generations, with its beautiful bold heartwood and gentle blonde sapwood. This grade allows everything that a cherry tree has to offer, including: color variation, tight sound knots, and a gentle kiss of dark mineral streaks.
Select American Cherry offers a beautiful rich heartwood that is desired by furniture manufacturers worldwide. The minimal sapwood, lack of knots and mineral streaks, is what gives this product Woodstock's edge within the wood flooring industry. White Ash
Character Ash has been known to delight the stingiest of tastes, with it open grain it will accept a stain flawlessly. Woodstock's Character Ash offers the color variation, small sound knots, and mineral streaks that has been sought by those who are looking for a true character grade floor. Due to its hardness, this wood has been used for furniture frames and heirloom quality pieces.
Often sought after for its creamy white sapwood, Ash will also include a creamy to dark brown heartwood. Woodstock's select Ash will limit the amount of heartwood that is allowed. Because it is a select grade, the natural imperfections will be omitted. With the same type of grain pattern as oak, this product has been referred to as the "poor man's oak".
Red Oak
The most popular of all woods, Northern Red Oak has a desirable look due to its uniformity in color. Woodstock's Select and Better Red Oak has been graded to exceed that of the N.O.F.M.A. (National Oak Flooring Manufactures Association). Woodstock limits the Amount of sapwood allowed in this grade and will omit any natural imperfections.
